Larry S. Stoudt

November 7, 1937 — February 15, 2016

Larry S. Stoudt, 78, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Monday, February 15th in Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center.

He is survived by his devoted companion, Beverly Epting.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Stephen Balatgek and Mildred (Zuber) Stoudt.

He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1955.

He was a twelve year decorated veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force, including the Vietnam War.

He retired from the Reading Police Department as a detective after many years of service.

He was a member of Chandler Lodge #227 F&AM. He was a life member of Neversink Forest #32 T.C.L., Past Grand Tall Cedar of Neversink Forest, Member of the Neversink Frolickers, and Past Trustee of Neversink Forest #32.

He was Past Deputy of District 10, Supreme Director of Region 5, and Past District Director of Foundation.

He was a 32nd degree member of the Valley of Reading A.A.S.R. Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, USA.

He was a member of Rajah Shrine, life member and past president of Rajah Clowns, and past president of MASA Clowns.

He was a life member and past president of the Temple Fire Co.

Surviving are two children, Shari Stoudt of Allentown and Paul Stoudt and fiancé Rosemary Hernandez of Muhlenberg Twp.

There are four grandchildren, Amanda and Jacob Stoudt and Amy and Mark Xiques.

He is predeceased by his step father, Paul C. Stoudt.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd from 1 until 2:30 pm in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

A Masonic Service will be held by Chandler Lodge #227 F&AM at 2:30 pm on Tuesday with a funeral service to follow.

Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Larry Stephen Stoudt, Chandler Lodge, #227 F&AM, Shriner's Children's Hospital, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
