Karen M. Hart, 59, of Shillington, passed away Wednesday, October 5th in the Reading Hospital.
Karen was married for forty three years to Gene L. Hart.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Brown and Ruth (Shuman) Brown.
Karen was a member of Maidencreek Church in Blandon.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, especially playing games and doing crafts.
She collected Amish plaques and dolls and any type of Amish memorabilia.
She also enjoyed corresponding with friends on her computer.
Surviving with her husband Gene are three children, Dwayne G. Hart and wife Natasha of Kenhorst, Krystal M. Gioielli and husband Mark of Catasauqua, Northampton Co., and Timothy R. Hart and wife Lynn of Shoemakersville.
There are five grandchildren, Joseph and Hunter Hart, Cheyenne Gioielli, and Codie and Savannah Hart.
She is survived by her siblings, Patricia Peters, widow of Cecil of Blandon, Linda Patterson, widow of Stanley of Reading, Richard Brown and wife Sandra of Reading, and Sharon Leslie of Laureldale.
She is predeceased by a brother, Russell Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 10th at 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Jason Dickinson officiating.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 9 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home at the above address to assist the family with funeral expenses.
