Judith Anne Rothermel, 71, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away Wednesday, October 15th at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the wife of Gerald L. Rothermel. They celebrated 41 years of marriage on October 14th.
Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Henry D. S. and Arline E. (Gilbert) Jacobs.
She lived at Bethany Children's Home from 1956 to 1960.
Judith had been a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, Blandon since 1976.
She owned a private daycare home from 1983 to 1990.
She was Director of the Blandon Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary from 1983 to 1985 and President of Blandon Lioness Club from 1987 to 1989.
Surviving along with her husband is a daughter, Michele LeAnne Kline of Blandon, and a step-daughter, Tammy Lee, wife of Kevin Leisey, of Bowers.
She was predeceased by a step-son, Jerry Lee Rothermel.
There is one grandson, Cory Jacob Kline, eight step-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are brothers, Lee D. and Curtis H. Jacobs of Allentown, and sister, Gail A. Loder, widow of Joseph, of Allentown, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sister, Faye L. Reiman, and brother, Gilbert H. Jacobs.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 18th at 11 a.m. at Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon. There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
