Joyce E. "Abby" Lutz

Joyce E. "Abby" Lutz, 83, of Reading, passed away Thursday, February 11th in her residence.

Joyce is married to Robert B. Lutz. Joyce and Robert would be married sixty years in May.

Born in Temple, she was the daughter of the late Victor Manmiller and Edna (Heiter) Manmiller.

Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed by Bell Telephone for fifteen years. She was a lunch aide at 5th and Spring Elementary School.

She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Temple.

Joyce was a member of the Seniors College at Alvernia University. You could catch Joyce at all the Alvernia University volleyball, baseball, and basketball games. Her son is head baseball coach at Alvernia.

Joyce loved watching professional sporting events. She especially enjoyed watching the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers. She also enjoyed watching the New York Mets where her grandson formerly played.

She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family in Delaware several times a year.
Surviving with her husband Robert are two children, Holly, wife of Neal Kline of Sinking Spring and Sterling "Yogi" Lutz and wife Vickie of Mohnton.

There is a grandson, Zachary Lutz and wife Lindsey (Gehris) of Bally and a great grandson Beckham Lutz.

She is predeceased by a grandson, Ryne Lutz.

She is also predeceased by siblings, John, Edwin, Harry, and Lloyd, PH.D, Manmiller and Olivia "Gladys" Diefenderfer and Fern Reichert.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 16th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Dr. Harry Serio officiating. Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of service.

Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Tuckerton.
