Joyce I. (Delp) Himmelberger, 82, of Penn Township, passed away Friday, October 28th in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was married for fifty-eight loving years to the late Sherwood L. “Woody” Himmelberger.
She was the daughter of the late Walter Delp and Helen (Phillips) Delp.
She attended Penn Bernville High School.
Joyce, and her late husband Woody, owned and operated the former Old 22 Inn for many years. She served as a waitress, cook, and many other positions where she was needed.
Surviving are her children, Lance, husband of Heather Himmelberger, of Rio Rancho, N.M.; Vicki L. Adam of Penn Township; and Brian K., husband of Marina Himmelberger, of Sterling, Va.
Joyce is survived by her grandchildren, Kati (Frantz) wife of Brian Merriam, Tyler (Frantz) wife of Antonio Bua, Kylie (Himmelberger) wife of Nick Carroll, Keith Himmelberger husband of Elizabeth (Gentine), Addison (Himmelberger) wife of Bryan Thomson, Riley Himmelberger and Kayce Himmelberger.
Also, her great grandchildren, Leonardo, Matteo, Stella and Camilla Bua, Hudson, Emerson, and Lincoln Merriam, and Theodore Himmelson.
She is survived by her siblings, Ann Seidel and Rick and Mark Delp. She is predeceased by her siblings, Barry, Ronald, and Terry Delp.
Joyce enjoyed taking long walks, tending to her lawn and flower beds, cooking
and decorating for the holidays, and loved spending time with all her family,
especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
