Josephine M. Kubeck

Josephine M. Kubeck 85 formerly of Temple died Monday morning in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township where she had resided since March 15, 2015.

Mrs. Kubeck was the widow of Richard E. Kubeck who was employed by the former Metropolitan Edison Company and was the former Mayor of Temple.

Josephine was born in Annville, PA on June 27,1929. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Mary (Perrotti) Mattassa

Surviving is a son Richard A. husband of Anne T. Kubeck of Muhlenberg Township and a daughter Victoria M. Frain of California. She had seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Also, surviving is a sister, Victoria wife of Carl Nuding of South Temple and a brother, Anthony husband of Mildred Mattassa of Birdsboro.

Mrs. Kubeck was a member of Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. She was a graduate of the former Central Catholic High School in the class of 1949.

Josephine had been employed by the former Stichter's Hardware; Lyon's Knitwear; General Battery in the payroll department and by MDS Laboratories.

She enjoyed Sunday visits to Jim Thorpe, the Phillies, Sunday crossword puzzles and playing scrabble

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. from Sacred Heart Villa, 51 Seminary Avenue, Hyde Park. Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Entombment in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
