John W. Hartman

John W. Hartman, 90, of Robesonia., passed away Thursday, April 12 in his residence.

John was married to the late Jean L. (Becker) Hartman who passed away October 15, 2007.

John was the son of the late Lewis M. Hartman and Almeda (Speece) Hartman.

John was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bernville.

John was formerly employed by Bob White Frozen Foods (Frosty Acres) of West Reading, Muhlenberg Dairy of Muhlenberg Twp., and Aluminum Alloys of Sinking Spring.

John served in the Army during WW II.

Surviving are two children, Michael A. Hartman, widower of Carol L. Hartman of Hamburg and Suzanne J. (Hartman) Lockard, widow of James F. Lockard, Jr. of Robesonia.

There are four grandchildren, Mellisa, Brian, John, and Carrie.

Also, five great grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Dustin, Chloe, Colton, and Alex.

John is survived by his brothers and sisters, James Hartman, Clifford Boyer, Jolene Balatger, and Joyce Miller.

There are seventeen predeceased brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 9:30 am in St. Thomas Church, 536 N. Main St. Bernville with Reverend Dr. Daniel Lute officiating.

A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm in St. Thomas Church In Bernville.

Interment will follow the service on Saturday morning in Pleasant View Cemetery where military honors will be performed by Ray A. Master Post, 217, Topton.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
