John H. Gilbert, 84, of Reading, passed away Thursday January 15th in Manor Care Health Services in Laureldale.
John was married to the late Dorothy Mae (Baker) Gilbert.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Alton Gilbert, Sr. and Catherine (Fies) Gilbert.
John was employed in Quality Control for Penn Optical in Reading.
John served in the Marines during the Korean War.
Surviving is a sister, Nancy Cox, wife of Jeffrey Cox of Reading. He is predeceased by his siblings, Alton Jr., Roy, Ronald, and David Gilbert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 24th at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Richard Nelson officiating. Interment will be private.
