Joanna S. Sherman

Joanna S. Sherman, 87, formerly of Temple and the Coatesville area, passed away Monday October 28th in the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, Elizabethtown, PA.

She was the wife of Christian E. Sherman.

Born in Millcreek Twp., Lebanon Co., she was the daughter of the late Paul S. Bubp and E. Alberta (Kurtz) Bubp.
She was a Registered Nurse graduating in 1948 from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. She volunteered for the Red Cross and the Blood Mobile.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Chris-Penn Chapter 455.
She was a leader for the Girl scouts of America and a volunteer at Kings Highway Elementary Library.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Laureldale.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Patricia Ann Sherman of El Paso, Texas and a son, Jerry Neil Sherman of Mountville, Lancaster Co.
There is one sister, Bernice Torre of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 2nd at 11 AM in the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Meditation Chapel, Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, 600 Free Mason Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Interment will be private at a the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown, One Masonic Dr., Elizabethtown, PA 17022 and please make a notation in the name of Joanna Sherman with the memorial. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., Temple.
