Joan L. Vitalo, 87, of Blandon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at The Lutheran Home at Topton, surrounded by her loving children. She was born on March 15, 1937, in Philadelphia, to the late John and Helen E. (Springart) Tittle.
Joan dedicated 37 years to her career at Lucent, where she was known not only for her commitment to her work but also for her kindness and generosity. Her warm spirit and selfless nature left an indelible mark on her colleagues and friends alike.
A devoted member of Grace Church, Joan found great comfort and joy in her faith community. She had a particular fondness for visiting the beach, especially Rehoboth, where she created countless memories. Joan also enjoyed the tranquility of the Poconos and loved dining out at local restaurants, often sharing meals with her family and friends.
Joan is survived by her beloved children: Ronald S. Vitalo, husband of Valerie B.; Steven J. Vitalo; and Vickie A. Vitalo. She also leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Scott and Brian; step-grandchildren Christian, Peter, Tina, Val, and Sam; and a remarkable legacy of 14 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Helen Kepner, John Tittle, and Carol Comer.
A viewing will be held on March 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location. Burial will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Joan’s kindness and giving nature will be profoundly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
