Joan C. (Clouser) Burkey

Joan C. Burkey, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday morning in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.

Joan was married for fifty-four loving years to Paul E. Burkey.

Joan was the daughter of the late John S. Clouser and Florence Clouser.

Joan was a graduate of Reading High School.

She retired from Fargo Assemblies of PA, located in Bernville, where she was employed  for many years.

She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband Paul.

Also, she enjoyed playing bingo and solving word search.

Joan loved her family very much, she especially loved spending time with her two grandchildren with weekly visits.

Surviving with her husband Paul are two loving children, Beverly A. Donat and husband David Donat of Lenhartsville and John S. Burkey of Bernville.

There are two loving grandchildren, Meghan and Ashley Donat also of Lenhartsville.

There are also several nieces and one nephew.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24th at 10 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm and Friday from 9 until 10 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading.
