Jessie L. Wanner

Jessie L. Wanner, 89, formerly of Bernville, passed away Tuesday, April 17th in Cedar Haven Health Care Center in Lebanon.

Jessie was married to the late John J. Wanner who passed away March 17, 2005.

Born in Hummelstown PA, she was the daughter of the late Aldus Yingst, Sr. and Elizabeth (Shenk) Yingst.

She attended Newmanstown United Christian Church.

She was formerly employed by Dutch Maid Garment Factory in Lancaster County and was a housekeeper in the Bernville area.

She loved to sew and maintain her garden.

Surviving are two children, Kevin E. Wanner and wife Holly Wanner and Carol L. Fitzgerald, widow of Barry Fitzgerald both of Myerstown.

There are four grandchildren, Sarah Cullins and husband Marcus, Heather Hunsecker and husband Tyler, and Nathanial and Katie Wanner.

There are two great grandchildren, Rakya and Kaiden Cullins.

She is survived by a brother, Herbert Yingst and wife Elinor and a sister, Nancy Walker and husband Dennis.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Aldus Yingst, Jr., and Mervin, Vernon, and Chester Yingst.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Leroy Bomgardner and Pastor John Ludwig, Jr. officiating.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville.
