Jeffrey W. Ermler, 64, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, January 1st at Penn State Health St. Joseph, Bern Township, after a brief stay. He shared a loving marriage of 21 years with his wife, Lisa (Stief) Ermler. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Pete and Jackie (Rhodes) Ermler.
He was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School Class of 1972. He went on to graduate with a degree in special education from Kutztown University. Jeffrey retired from the Hamburg School District after a career of 35 years as a special education teacher.
He was a member of the Central Fire Company and the Temple Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, Jeffrey is survived by his daughter Jennifer Ermler of Fleetwood, his stepchildren Ryan Fayewicz of Exeter and Kristyn Fayewicz of Shillington, and his four step-grandchildren Nolan, Codey, Murphy, and Whitney. He is also survived by his brother Mike Ermler of Detroit, MI.
He is predeceased by his best buddy and companion Jax.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later time at the convenience of Jeffrey’s family.
