Jeanne D. Brenner, 87, formerly of Temple, passed away Tuesday, June 9th at Manor Care Laureldale.
Born in Laureldale, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Oscar Adams & Frances May (Brosius) Adams
Jeanne was employed as a sales associate for many years with Kmart in the infants department (she loved babies!), and then went on to work with H&R Block and manage (her niece's) Nairn's Ceramic Shop in Laureldale.
Jeanne enjoyed camping, crafts, and traveling. Her last big trip was to the Outer Banks, which she enjoyed immensely. She was known for her love of Turkeys, pigs, and playing pranks on her various nieces and nephews. She also loved her sweets, and was known for being a lover of chocolate.
Finally, Jeanne loved supporting the community, and regularly gave to local and international charities such as MADD and the Disabled Veterans.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her loving husband Marland F. Brenner Sr. son Marland F. Brenner, Jr.(little Marty), and her 7 brothers and sisters Mildred Elizabeth Adams Frank (Died 14 Mar 1951), Roy William Adams (Died 15 Jul 1982), Guy Adams (Died 12 Jul 1988), Lillian May (Adams) Reinert (Died 08 Feb 1988), Harold Oscar Adams (Died 25 Apr 1959), Kenneth Brosius Adams (Died 03 Jan 2009), June Brosius Adams (24 Jun 1921). Jeanne was the youngest and last of her siblings.
Surviving are her sons, Neil and Troy Brenner, both of Townsend, Delaware; Granddaughters, Amanda Brenner; Melissa Crouser; 2 great grandchildren; her niece Dorothy Peplau who was more sister than niece; her sister in-law, Shirley Brenner; and many nieces and nephews that were instrumental to her care throughout her later life. A special mention goes to her Niece Barbra Parker, her longtime care giver and family friend Justine Burkhart, and her live - in care givers Marcia for their kind and fun loving support. They made her final years truly golden.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20th at 11am at the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, with Rev. Grant Wickert officiating.
