In Loving Memory Of Jean McLaughlin

Jean (Falasca) McLaughlin of Reading, passed away peacefully in her home on July 29, 2021 at the age of 92.

Jean was born in Tamaqua, PA to Emidio Falasca and Antoinetta (Tredicine) Falasca. She married Paul McLaughlin on the March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA. Jean and Mac relocated to Temple, PA where they raised their four children. She worked at the Community General Hospital as a unit secretary and a dental assistant for roughly twenty years. She was a faithful member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.

She taught us to give and nurture endlessly, how to converse and listen openly and how to love and laugh passionately.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and siblings Bessie Paslawsky, Rose Hechinger, Anna Rohrbach, Anthony Falasca, Amelia Stack, Joseph Falasca, and Florina Martin.

She is survived by her children Patricia Thompson (Ed) of Clearwater, FL, Kevin McLaughlin (Debbie) of Gilbert, AZ, Kathleen Kaminski (Mike) of Bernville, PA, Mike McLaughlin of Shillington, PA, Jen McLaughlin of Shillington, PA; her grandchildren Casey, Patrick, Alex, Abigail, Sarah, Megan and Sean; her great grandchildren Savannah, Kaitlin, and Sloane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 5th at 11:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3125 Kutztown Rd, Hyde Park, Reading, PA 19605 with Fr. Allen J. Hoffa as celebrant.

Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Thursday morning from 9:15 until 10:15 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

Entombment will follow the Mass in the Chapel of Resurrection in Gethsemane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a contribution in Jean's honor to Helping Harvest Food Bank in Reading.
