Jean I. (Gift) Becker
January 16, 1932 — August 28, 2015
Jean I. Becker, 83, of Blandon passed away Friday, August 28th at ManorCare Health Services Laureldale, where she had resided since March.
Jean was the daughter of the late Charles and Candice (Koller) Gift.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Becker, of Blandon; sons, Donald G. Becker and wife Theresa, and William R. Becker, both of Blandon; grandchildren, Lyn Becker, Donald G. Becker, Jr., Jenny Lyn Bagwell and husband Steve, and William R. Becker, Jr. and wife Jen; great-grandchildren, Marc and Torry Rees, Devon, Miya, Mikey, and Joshua Bagwell, and Dominic and Isabella Becker; great-great-grandson, Paxton Michael Scott; sister, Marie Bower of Dryville; nieces, Artena, Marcy, and Tonya; and nephews, Wes and Lynwood.
Jean is preceded in death by brother, Charles Gift; sister, Mary Gift; and brother-in-law, William Bower
Although Jean was known as a homemaker for most of her life, she had worked at several different locations including Kutztown Shoe Factory where she worked as a sewing machine operator.
Mrs. Becker enjoyed playing bingo, wrote poetry, and volunteered time at Berks Heim Nursing Home in her spare time. Her true love though was her family, who she enjoyed spending time with very much.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 2nd at 10AM from Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. Interment will then follow in St John's Gernant's Cemetery, Leesport.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 1st from 5 to 7 PM from the Funeral Home.
