Janet A. (Green) Moore

Janet A. (Green) Moore,81, of Laureldale, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Penn State Health St. Joseph's Hospital.

Born in Williamsport, PA on April 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Percy T. and Edith D. (Bohart) Green. She was a 1959 graduate of Ridley High School. Janet was the wife of Raymond E. Moore with whom she spent 58 years of marriage.

She was an active member of Bible Presbyterian Church and was attending Covenant Church. Janet loved spending time with her family and was a doting wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking with her granddaughter and was always taking care of her family. Janet also took delight in gardening and tending to her flowers.

In addition to her husband, Raymond, Janet is survived by her children, Mary Opal Plants, wife of the late James H. Plants, of Temple, Raymond E. Moore Jr., husband of Bonnie, of Temple and Latisha Lynn News, wife of Daniel C. News of Laureldale. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Bethany Kulp, Joseph Plants, Zachary News, Nathaniel News, Roselyn News and one great granddaughter, Hannah Jewell; Siblings, Miriam Dellacamara, Donald Green, husband of Maryann, and sister-in-law Laura Green.

Janet was predeceased by one brother, Percy T. Green, Jr.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Chapel at Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605, with a service beginning at 12:00pm.

Burial will take place in Laureldale Cemetery.
