Janet L. (Smith) Berg

Janet L. Berg, 80, of Blandon, passed away Monday September 15th in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Robert Smith and Elsie (Clauser) Smith Schwenk.
She was the former proprietor of the Varsity Inn in Blandon for twenty three years retiring in 1997.
Surviving is one daughter, Tracy Berg of Blandon, one granddaughter, Amanda W. Berg of Shoemakersville, and one great grandson, Zion M. Weber.
There is one sister, Roberta Dettling, widow of Conrad of Spring Twp.
A viewing will be held on Friday September 19th from 1pm until 3 pm in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540.
