Jane E. (Geesey) Mayer

Jane E. Mayer, 85, of Maidencreek Twp., passed away Sunday, December 18th in her residence.

Jane was the widow of William D. “Bill” Mayer, Sr. who passed away March 27, 2019.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. Geesey and Helen (Knerr) Geesey.

Jane graduated in 1956 from Reading High School and then was employed for many years as an Accounting Coordinator at Wells Fargo Alarm Services.

Jane was a member of Becker’s St. Peters Church in Maidencreek Twp.

Jane and her late husband Bill were collectors of Model Railroading and enjoyed traveling on Amtrack.

Jane also enjoyed going to the casinos and vacationing on cruises.

Jane is survived by three siblings, Jacob Augustus Geesey and wife, Theresa Geesey of Wyomissing, Joan Ellen (Geesey) Sparr, widow of George Sparr of Blandon, and Linda Leah (Geesey) Dmochowski, wife of Lawrence Dmochowski of West lawn.

She is predeceased by six siblings.

There is a very close friend, Mae V. Bortz and many nieces and nephews.

There is also a predeceased stepson, William D. Mayer, Jr., and survived by his wife, Cynthia L. (Kohl) Mayer of Auburn, Schuylkill Co.

There are three step grandchildren, Crystal (Mayer) Brown, wife of Kris Brown of Pine Grove, Melissa (Mayer) Miller of Landingsville, PA, Jennifer (Mayer) Hebelka , wife of Richard Hebelka of Schuylkill Haven and five step great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 23rd at 11 AM in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Friday from 10 AM until 11 AM.

Interment will be private.
