Helen L. Heiter, 99, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away Saturday May 30th in her residence in Muhlenberg Twp., surrounded by her loving family.
Helen was the widow of the late Harold W. Heiter who passed away November 15, 1991.
Born in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Ulrich and Nettie (West) Ulrich.
Helen was employed for the former Western Electric in Reading for many years.
Helen loved spending time with her family and her pets. She enjoyed word searches, gardening, and cooking, especially baking biscuits. She also enjoyed vacationing in Florida where she spent the winter months.
Surviving are two children, John W. Heiter and wife JoAnn and Deanna M. Northam both of Muhlenberg Twp.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Fay Fisher.
There are two grandchildren, Amy, wife of Anthony Smith and Mark Northam. Also, two step grandchildren, Mike Fisher and Suzanne Blank.
Helen is survived by her siblings, Jean and Dolores McNew and Darlene Varner. She is predeceased by her siblings, David Ulrich, Goldie Stouffer, Harold Ulrich, Shirley Baughman, and Charles Ulrich.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 4th at 12:30 pm in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Sara Hertzog officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peters UCC Church Cemetery, Richmond Twp.. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 11:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
