Harold R. Lesher, 86, a dedicated farmer and former co-owner of Way-Har Farms, passed away on January 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished. Born on May 22, 1937, in Upper Tulpehocken Township, Pennsylvania, Harold's life was deeply rooted in the agricultural community he called home.
Harold's passion for farming was evident throughout his life. Alongside his role as a co-owner of Way-Har Farms, he worked tirelessly to provide for his community. His commitment to his craft led to the prestigious honor of being named Pennsylvania Farm Family of the Year in 1974. This accolade is a testament to Harold's unwavering dedication. Harold also was a retired truck driver for RPS / FedEx.
Beyond his successful career as a farmer, Harold actively participated in various organizations and community initiatives that held a special place in his heart. Harold served as a Hamburg School Board member, and on the Sire Power Board of Directors. He was a past Decon at Friedens UCC and a valued member of the Shartlesville Grange. He was also an active member of Grundsau Lodge.
Harold's impact extended far beyond his professional and community roles. As a devoted husband, he shared 63 beautiful years with his beloved wife Linda L. (Berger) Lesher.

His loving spirit lives on through his children Glenn Lesher, Lori Haupt, wife of Scott, and Karen Shchuka, wife of Adrian. Their lives were enriched by a father who instilled in them the values of hard work, resilience, and kindness. Harold's legacy extends further to his grandchildren Joshua (Shelby), Jessica, Jacob (Courtney), Alicia, Nathan, Gabriel, and Ariana.
