Harold L. Kirkhoff

Harold L. Kirkhoff, 84, of Maidencreek Township, passed away Saturday at Reading Hospital Tower Health. He was the widower of Betty D. (Dunkle) Kirkhoff, who passed away January 1992. Born in Centre Township, he was a son of the late Lewis and Eva (Spayd) Kirkhoff.

Harold is survived by his goddaughter, Dianna Pagan.

He is also survived by his brother, Melvin A. husband of Carol D. Kirkhoff, and Melvin’s children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Robert husband of Kathleen Dunkle.

He is also survived by his nephew, Michael husband of Christine Dunkle, and his niece, Jennifer wife of John Konek. His great nephews, Matthew Dunkle and Cody Konek. His great niece, Allison Dunkle.

Harold is predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty, and his great nephew Samuel Konek.

Harold was a 1953 graduate of Ontelaunee High School. After graduation, he served his country in the Air Force. He retired from Carpenter Technology.

Harold enjoyed his travels with Melvin to Fiddle Fest and blue grass festivals. He was a fan of country music and he loved his Country Westerns. Harold also enjoyed traveling, family adventures, holiday dinners and Sunday game days with Dianna and the rest of the Pagan family. His family will remember him as a man of God who was very kind, generous, and loving.

Graveside services for Harold will be held Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 AM at Bern Cemetery, 3196 Bernville Rd, Bern Township.

Contributions in Harold’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place Suite 170, Bethlehem PA 18017.
