Grace L. (Barton) Lumley

Grace L. (Barton) Lumley, 97, formerly of Reading passed away on June 4, 2021, at Westminster Woods on Julington Creek in Jacksonville, Fla.   She was the wife of the late Thomas H. Lumley, who passed away June 28, 2007.   Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine E. (Chadwick) Barton. Grace was a long time member and faithful servant of Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Reading prior to moving to Fla. Grace was the loving mother to her children Thomas C. husband of Debra E. of Jacksonville, FL and Grace R. Dieterle wife of Walter A. of Beaufort NC.  Grandmother to 5 and Great Grandmother of 4. Grace enjoyed sharing almost everything, from candy, handmade decorations (snowflakes, booties, sand dollars and many more), knitting afghans and lap blankets for others, camping and traveling the world over. Making pies were her specialty. If you have tasted one, you know what we mean. She had been an employee of Wachovia Bank now Wells Fargo for many years. A celebration of Grace’s life will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10:30 am in Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560, with Pastor Mandy Miler officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in the Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
