George M. Rubright, Jr., 86, formerly of Laureldale, passed away Monday, June 20th in Brookdale Assisted Living in Coconut Creek, Florida.
George was married to the late Gloria M. (Balthaser) Rubright who passed away November 1, 2008.
Born in Shoemakersville, he was the son of the late George M. Rubright, Sr. and Florence (Boyer) Rubright.
He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church.
He was a Insurance Agent for John Hancock in Reading for fifty years.
George was a lifelong Yankees fan and all around avid sports fan.
Survivors include his two children, David G. Rubright and wife Debra E. of Coconut Creek, FL and Lisa R. Mantz and husband Richard R. of Bethlehem. He is predeceased by a son Michael D. Rubright.
There are three siblings, Barbara L. Heck and husband Charles of Shoemakersville, Carolyn L. Wagner and husband Kenneth of Hamburg, and Patricia L. Reed of Laureldale. He is predeceased by sisters, Jean L. Seiger, Anna L. Rubright, and Mabel L. Achenbach.
Also, six grandchildren, Stephen, Tyler, and Adrianna Mantz and Christopher, Jason, and Jonathan Rubright.
There are seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 11 am in Alsace Lutheran Church, 2201 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA, 19605 with Pastor David Reinwald officiating.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning in the church from 10 am until time of service.
Interment will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery in Shoemakersville.
