George P. Bailey, 67, of Richmond Twp., a dedicated U.S. Postal Mailman three decades, passed away on June 26, 2024 Born on August 4, 1956, son of the late Percy and Helen Bailey. George was known for his exceptional sense of humor and zest for life.
George's career as a mailman allowed him to connect with his community in a unique way, serving diligently for thirty years. His commitment and reliability left a lasting impact on those he encountered along his postal route.
In 1974, George graduated from Kutztown High School, laying educational foundation for his future endeavors. Beyond his professional achievements, George had a diverse set of interests and hobbies. He found joy in Modified Car Racing, passionately supported the Philadelphia Phillies, and cherished moments spent playing Bingo. His love extended to all his canine companions, reflecting his kind and caring nature.
A viewing in honor of George will be held at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM with a time of sharing at 6:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane PA Freedom Center for Animal Life-Saving (Humane Society)., 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, PA 19604.

George is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-one years, Rebecca M. "Becky" Bailey. Additionally, he is survived by his children Rashad Housseal of Fleetwood and Richard W. Rothermel and wife Melissa of Orwigsburg. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren Sheldon M. and Richard E. Rothermel.
In this time of loss, George is also remembered by his loving nephew Joel Luckenbaugh and sisters Virginia Snyder and Anna Rothermel.
George P. Bailey's warm smile, quick wit, and genuine spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing and serve as a reminder of the joy he brought into the lives of others.
