Francisco Colòn, 84, of Laureldale, passed away Monday in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.
Francisco was married to the late Myrtelina (Vazquez) Colòn who passed away May 6, 2017.
Born in Villalba, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Francisco Colòn and Eufrocina (Santiago) Colòn
He was a dedicated employee for DeSantis Mushroom in Blandon for over forty years, retiring as a foreman.
Surviving are two loving daughters, Aida Y. Miller, wife of Randall S. Miller and Brittany Rose Colòn both of Laureldale.
There are two loving grandchildren, Jacob William Miller and Katarina Isabella Miller.
Francisco Sibling’s include, Wilfrida Hernandez, Tomas Colòn, Hipolito Colòn, Luz Eleria, Ana Luz Velazquez, Lourdes Colòn, Arestides Colòn, Luz Elena Colòn, Dionisio Colòn, Jose Antonio Colòn, and Luz Elena Colòn.
Francisco lived a life of hard work and commitment to his wife, children, and especially his beloved grandchildren. “Frankie” was a distinguished spirit that commanded respect.
Working until he was 80, he could only go part time for retirement. Later in life he relished a good Novela, the Three Stooges, or a “Gunsmoke” or “Rifleman” rerun, and constantly sang a Jibarò tune.
He always practiced his penchant for helping those in need without wavering.
Francisco left us an abundance of reasons to give thanks God sent him to us.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 2 pm in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.
Family and friends may attend a visitation with the family on Saturday from 1 pm until 2 pm in the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
