Fern I. Fishburn

Fern I. Fishburn, 84, of Mohrsville, passed away Thursday in the Reading Hospital.

Fern was married for fifty five years to the late Richard K. Fishburn who passed away February 26, 2011.

Born in Penn Twp., she was the daughter of the late John M. Sonday and Lillie M. (Anspach) Sonday.

Fern was a member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church, Jefferson Twp.

Fern enjoyed solving word searches, loved to bake and do embroidering, and loved to crack nuts.

Surviving are six daughters, Christine L., wife of Terry Klinger of Dauberville, Shirley E. Fishburn of Mohrsville, Mary J., wife of Allen Grube of Mohrsville, Grace L., wife of Gregg Essig of Hamburg, Diane L., wife of Ronald Schadler of Dauberville, and Kathy A., wife of Jeffrey Gechter of Bernville.

There are nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Also, two sisters, Anna S., widow of David Werner and Gladys, wife of Stanley Egan.

Fern is predeceased by a grandchild and brothers, Lester and John Sonday and a step brother, Wayne Sonday and a step sister, Viola Anspach.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 22nd at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville.

Viewings will take place on Thursday evening form 6 until 8 pm and Friday 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
