Fern E. Blatt

Fern E. Blatt, 88, of Shartlesville, passed away Wednesday in Penn State, St. Joseph Hospital.

Fern was married to the late Mervin A. Blatt who passed away May 28, 2005.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. (Blatt) Eaton, wife of Paul R. Eaton, Sr. of Upper Tulpehocken Twp.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Sue Miller, wife of John Miller, 3rd of Leesport, Michael Eaton of Bernville, and Thomas Eaton of Bernville.

Fern is predeceased by a grandson, Paul R. Eaton, Jr. and survived by his wife, Kimberly Renee (Koch) Eaton.

She is survived by her great grandchildren, Grant and Morgan Miller and Zoey and Piper Eaton.

Fern is predeceased by a great grandchild Paisley Eaton.

She is also predeceased by her siblings, Richard Lutz and Gladys Wiga.

She was a member of Bern Reformed UCC of Leesport.

She graduated from Ontelaunee High School.

She was formerly an insurance agent for Windsor Mt. Joy Mutual Insurance in Shoemakersville and then for Gallen Insurance Agency in Shillington.

 Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with her burial alongside her late husband Mervin in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Tilden Twp.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
