Evelyn M. Troutman, 92, of Bernville, passed away Sunday October 20th in the residence of her son, Eric H. Troutman, in Bernville.
She was married to the late Henry L. Troutman who passed away December 22, 2012. Evelyn and Henry were married September 25, 1948 and celebrated sixty four years of marriage.
Born in Jefferson Twp., she was the daughter of the late Paul H. Oxenreider and Vara I. (Kalbach) Oxenreider.
She graduated from Penn Bernville High School in 1939. She was employed by the Tulpehocken School District at the Penn Bernville School in the cafeteria for many years retiring in 1983.
She was a member of St. John's Host Church where she was active in Sunday School and a member of the Mite Society.
She was a member of D.A.R., Daughters of the America Revolution, Berks County Chapter.
She was a member of the Bernville Grange where she prepared programs.
Evelyn and Henry loved their family and were very dedicated to them. They were both very proud and active in the lives of their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Eric H. Troutman, husband of Stephanie M. (Harakel) Troutman of Bernville and Thomas C. Troutman, husband of Linda (Moyer) Troutman of Port Orange, Florida.
There are three grandchildren, Victoria DeLong of Palmyra, Eric H. Troutman, Jr. of Bernville, and Katie Troutman of Wyomissing. Also, five great grandchildren, Alexis, Myriah, Stevie, and Alisa Troutman all of Bernville and Jay Sudler of Wyomissing.
She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth M. Oxenreider.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26th at 11 AM in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville. Interment will follow in St. John's Host Church Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Friday evening from 7 until 8:30 PM and Saturday morning from 10 until 11 AM in the funeral home.
