Erma A. Groff

Erma A. Groff, 88, of Bernville passed away Wednesday, September 6th in Stoneridge Poplar Run in Myerstown.

Errma was married to the late Leon V. Groff who passed away November 23, 1998.

Born in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., she was the daughter of the late Isaac Schlegel and Suppora (Moser) Schlegel.

Erma was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bernville where she was a member of the St. Thomas Guild.

Erma was a member of Bernville Young at Heart, auxiliary member of the Bernville Legion # 732, and auxiliary member of the Bernville Fire Co.

Survivors include two sons, Lee V. Groff and wife Linda of Bethel and Larry D. Groff and wife Kelly of Bernville.

There are three grandchildren, Lauren Groff and wife Erika, and Timothy and Mary Groff.

Also, there are five great grandchildren, Grace, Satya, Liam, Hannah, and Abigail Groff.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Leigh Michele Groff.

Erma was predeceased by sixteen siblings.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 11th at 11 am in St, Thomas Church, 536 N. Main St., Bernville, with Rev. Dr. Daniel Lute officiating.

There will be a viewing on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville and on Monday morning from 10 until 11 am in St. Thomas Church.

Interment will follow the service on Monday in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville.
