Eric G. McDowell, 52, of Temple passed away Thursday, September 3rd at his home in Muhlenberg Township from natural causes.
Eric was the son of the late Ronald A. McDowell and Marguerite H. (Merkle) Guzewski.
He is survived by his daughter, Cori P. McDowell of Macungie; step-daughter, Cassie Stegeman of Reading; step-son, Kyle Stegeman of Whitehall; granddaughter, Cassidy McDowell; fiancé, Cindy Murray; brothers, Daryl McDowell and wife, Marcia of Warnersville and Bruce McDowell of Rehrersburg; and sisters, Denise Moyer and husband, Keith of Sinking Spring and Lisa Rhine and husband, Todd of Wisconsin.
Eric is preceded in death by wife, JoAnne McDowell.
Mr. McDowell had most recently been employed by Elbeco Co. in quality control. He had also worked in Cartech as a machine operator for many years and had managed several residential properties.
He had been an avid hunter and enjoyed boating, had possessed a love of cars since a young age, and prided himself in his lawn care and maintenance. He was also a known fan of the Philadelphia Eagles Football Team.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 8th from 6 to 8 PM from the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road Temple.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
