Elwood Daniel Reis, 103, of Leesport, passed away Tuesday
February 18th in the Laurel Center, Tilden Twp.
He was married to the late Viola (Oswald) Reis who passed away
July 4, 1994.
Born in Richmond Twp., he was the son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Erb) Reis.
He was employed for many years by the former Bowers Battery, which became General Battery, where he retired.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Leesport.
He was a member of the Senior Citizens at Trinity UCC, an avid Phillies fan, and enjoyed playing cards. He loved to tell everyone stories.
Surviving are his children, Lillian G., widow of Warren K. Adams of Leesport, Betty Lou, widow of Raymond Dietrich of Tilden Twp., and Elsie June, widow of Lee L. Rothenberger of Hamburg.
There are six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
There is one predeceased grandchild and several predeceased brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 24th at 11 am in Trinity United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 482, 17 N. Centre Ave., Leesport, PA 19533 with Pastor Deborah Schwartz officiating.
A viewing will be held Monday morning from 10 am until time of service in the church.
Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity UCC at the above address.
