Edward M. Kotlarek, 70, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp, passed away Sunday April 6th in Manor Care Health Services in Sinking Spring.
He was married to Jane E. (Whyte) Kotlarek.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Lisowski) Kotlarek.
He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service as a maintenance mechanic in the bulk mail center in Philadelphia for over thirty years.
He served in the Navy.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a skilled woodworker.
Additional survivors include his step children, Nannette Stahl, Andrew and John DiZio, and Jane Hummel all of Philadelphia.
There are thirteen step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
Also, a brother, Reynold Kotlarek of Lewes, DE.
A memorial service will be held on Friday April 11th at 1 PM in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, PA 19506.
A graveside service will be held on Monday April 14th at 1 PM in St. Dominic's Cemetery, 8504 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19136.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605.
