Dudley V. Briggs

Dudley V. Briggs, 71, of Gilbertsville, passed away Sunday January 3rd in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Dudley was married to Carol (Leister) Briggs. Dudley and Carol celebrated thirty two years of marriage on August 20th.

Born in Nigel, South Africa, he was the son of the late Robert Kingsley Briggs and Marjorie Hope (Thomas) Briggs.

He was a sales representative for many years for Bergey's Tire located in Franconia, PA.

Dudley served in the South Africa Defense Force.

He was a member of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Douglassville.

Dudley enjoyed beer and bikes. He enjoyed formula one auto racing, motorcycle racing, and working on cars.

Surviving with his wife Carol are two sons, Michael Briggs and wife Valerie of Boyertown and Matthew Briggs of Gilbertsville.

Also, he is survived by his mother in law, Carolyn Leister, widow of Wayne Leister.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8th at 6 pm
in St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, 1188 Ben Franklin Hwy., Douglassville, PA.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday from 4 until 6 pm in the church.

Interment will be held in Limerick Garden of Memories at a later date.
