Dorothy J. (Smith) Smith

Dorothy Smith, 73, of West Lawn, passed away November 2, 2020, in Tower Health Reading Hospital.

Born in Palm, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert J. C. Smith and Anna Mae (Speicher) Smith.

Dorothy was employed at TRS Workshop until she retired in 2012. Afterwards, she decided to attend Ageless Harmony where she enjoyed spending time with her friends while working on different crafts and activities until March 2020. She also attended sewing circle in her spare time at West Lawn United Methodist church.

Dorothy often wore a beautiful tiara and referred to herself as “The Queen of the house” which she was. Dorothy left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered with her strong sense of humor, witty banter, and fun personality. Dorothy was very stylish and loved to wear different brightly colored socks. She was selfless, supportive, and loved to help others. Dorothy always said grace before meals and her favorite song to sing was “Amazing Grace.”

Dorothy enjoyed all kinds of crafting, cross stitching, and crocheting. She will be remembered for the bibs and blankets that she would make for any expectant mothers that she encountered.

Dorothy is predeceased by her sister and brother. Dorothy is survived by her loving friends, supports team, and Threshold family. Dorothy will be forever remembered.

Funeral services are private with burial in Bern Cemetery.
