Dorothy N. Bordner, 93, formerly of Temple, passed away Wednesday, February 25th in Berks Heim.
Dorothy was married to the late Harold E. Bordner who passed away May 16, 2005.
Born in Temple, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Rothenberger and Edna (Fox) Rothenberger.
Dorothy was employed by Webster Cigar Factory, Farmers Pride and S & H Green Stamps both of Reading, and Spangler's Auto Dealership of Temple.
Dorothy was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church. She also was a former member of the Muhlenberg Lioness Club.
Dorothy graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1939, she was the secretary of her class, a position she continued to serve throughout the years for the alumni association.
Surviving are two children, a son, Harold R. Bordner and wife Patricia of Mohrsville and a daughter, Janice M. Ludwig, widow of Ronald of Ephrata.
There are four grandchildren, Lori Hatt, Cheryl Gerhart, and Alexa and Zachary Bordner. Also, three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Michaela Werner and Anthony Hatt, Jr. and two step great grandchildren, Thaddeus and Marriah Hatt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 28th at 10:30 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Richard Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
