Donald H. Snyder

Donald H. Snyder, 86, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away Sunday in the home of his son, Bill, in Brecknock Twp., surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was married for sixty one loving years to Mary A. (Baker) Snyder.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry and C. Evelyn (Biehl) Snyder.

Donald served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Donald was previously employed by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 743, Reading.

Donald was avid hunter and fisherman.

Donald enjoyed spending time in Clinton County at his cabin along with his wife and family.

Donald had a great sense of humor telling jokes and stories to everyone.

Donald was a member of the Reading Liederkranz and the FOP in Temple.

Additional survivors include three children, William Harry “Bill” Snyder and wife Kimberly Marie Snyder of Brecknock Twp., Diane Evelyn Newcomb of Mohrsville, and Donald Michael Snyder and wife Michele Sauppee-Snyder of Laureldale.

There are five grandchildren, Christopher Snyder and wife Ann, Rachel Snyder, Matthew Snyder and wife Jessica, Alexandra Snyder, and Michael Snyder and wife Nikki. There are two step grandchildren, Kyle and Ronnie Kale.

Also, three great grandchildren, Maddy, Owen, and Collin Snyder.

Donald is predeceased by a sister, Elaine Thomas.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17th at 11:00 AM in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple.

A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9 until 11:00 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park
