David C. Nye

David C. Nye, 75, of Jefferson Township passed away on February 10, 2021 at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading on October 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Ambrose Ash and Martha E. Nye.

He was the loving husband of Shirley Ann (Wolf) Nye with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

David proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

David was employed as a meter technician for thirty-three years for Metropolitan Edison Co. He was a member of the Reading Company Technical and Historical Society and was one of the founding members of the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children Robert C. Nye and Christine L. Gatz and his grandchildren; Kyle R. Nye, Samantha Lynn Nye, Mitchell T. Gatz and Sarah F. Gatz.

Services will be held private at the convenience of the family. Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
