David J. Luckenbill Sr

David J. Luckenbill, Sr., 81, of Bernville passed away Wednesday April 23rd in Reading Hospital.

He was married to Patricia A. (Lutz) Luckenbill.

Born in Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Leon and Mary (Strunk) Luckenbill.

He was a truck driver for Helms Burn Ryder Pie Nationwide for many years.

For many years he was a farmer and a butcher.

He was a avid hunter and a collector of winross die cast trucks.

Surviving with his wife Patricia are his children, Karen, widow of Darryl Blatt of Bethel, Sharon, wife of Stacy Dubbledavenport, Candace Deck, and Larry Kilpatrick, husband of Cathy all of Hamburg, Davette, wife of Rich Smith of Allentown and David J. Luckenbill, Jr., husband of Elizabeth of Bernville.

There are fourteen Grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Luckenbill and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Tuesday April 29th at 10:30 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Bruce Farrell officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in Bernville. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm and Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of service.
