Darrell K. Allen

Darrell, K. Allen, 83, of Ontelaunee Twp., passed away Thursday November 20th in his residence.
He was married to the late Mildred M. (Wade) Allen who passed away August 10, 2010.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Chester and Bertha (France) Allen.

He served in the Air Force for four years, he then retired from American
Crane in Boyertown after many years of service.

Darrell enjoyed playing the saxophone in Reading High School where he graduated and then played while serving in the Air Force. He was a avid fisherman, a skilled woodworker, and enjoyed gardening.

Darrell and his late wife Mildred enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are his children, Pamela J., wife of Dennis Levan of Sinking Spring and April D. wife of John Gudikunst of Reading.
Also, his step children, Keith W. Ruth, husband of Lori of West Lawn, Robin, wife of Peter O'Reily of Dauberville, and Karen, wife of Jay Kohl of Brecknock Twp.

There are twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by brothers, Gerald and Chester Allen.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 25th at 10:30 am in the
Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with interment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until time of service in the funeral home.
