Constance H. Miller, 82, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died January 4, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Jacksonville, FL Memorial Hospital. Constance had resided in the Jacksonville Fl area for the past several years.
Mrs. Miller was the widow of Lyman H. Miller who died in 2002.
Constance was born in St. Clair, Schuylkill County on March 14, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Burcosky) Kanish.
Surviving are her loving Sons; Commander USN, James S. Szerba of Jacksonville, FL, and Jeffrey M. Szerba of Reading. There is a step-son, Hans-Dieter Miller of Reading. She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Linda Miller of Spirit Lake, Il.
Constance was adored by her three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Also, surviving is a brother Clarence Kanish of Randallstown, MD.
Mrs. Miller was formerly employed by U.S. Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. and various government agencies in the Philadelphia area. She, also, had been employed by Sun Oil Company, Philadelphia. Additionally, Mrs. Miller had been employed as a nurse's aide at West Haven Assisted Living facility.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Entombment in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
Family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
