Christine A. “Chris” (Spolski) Heist, 75, of Penn Twp., passed away Friday afternoon in her residence surrounded by her loving Family.
Chris was married for fifty-six years to her loving husband Terry L. Heist.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Spolski, Sr. and Anna Spolski.
Chris was a 1965 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
She was the proprietor of her own dog grooming business, “Claws & Paws”, which she operated in her residence for over twenty-five years. She loved the dogs she groomed and made many longtime friends with their owners.
She was the former Penn Township Tax Collector for ten years.
Chris enjoyed gardening, traveling to the casinos, and vacationing in the mountains with her husband, Terry, at their cabin in Clinton County.
Surviving with her husband Terry is a son, Michael T. Heist and his wife Andrea L. (Zaorski) Heist of Temple.
Chris is predeceased by her siblings, Stanley Spolski, Jr. and Patricia Spolski.
The family would like a to extend a special thanks to John and Joann Heiter and Judy Miller.
Also, a special thanks to the staff at Bayada Health Care for the care and comfort they provided Chris and her family.
Chris will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
The Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home in Temple is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
