Charles H. Kline, Sr. 92, of Strausstown, passed away on November 23, 2021 in his home. He was the husband of Marian M. (Kramer) Kline with whom he celebrated almost 68 of marriage. He was the son of the late John D. and Wilhelmina B. (Aschenbach) Kline.
Charles was a proud Army Veteran having served our country in the Korean War stationed in Germany. Charles started his career as a plumber with his father, then started his own business, Kline’s Plumbing and Heating. He also started a True Value Hardware Store in Strausstown. All of his sons were engaged in the business with him until his retirement. Charles was a long-time member of Strausstown Lion’s Club and the Reading Suburban Plumping Association. Charles enjoyed gardening, bluegrass music and camping. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and leaves behind a legacy of hard work and family values.
In addition to his loving wife, Marian, Charles is survived by his children, Michael, husband of Harriett, Carol, wife of Phillip Wilhelm, Charles H. Jr., husband of Kathy, and Thomas, all of Strausstown. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, Betty (Kline) Sweigart and his brother, Paul Kline.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Bernville, with a service beginning at 11:00 am. Buril will take place in Strausstown Cemetery.
