Charles F. Furlong, 90, of Wernersville, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his residence. Born on August 26, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice M. (Haden) Furlong. Charles was the husband of the late Shirley (Schroader) Furlong and the late Virginia M. (Gregg) Furlong with whom he shared 40 years of marriage at her time of passing on September 1, 2020.
Charles was a proud United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. While enlisted, Charles earned a Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a Bronze Star for his heroic service.
Charles is survived by his children, Lillian Gregg wife of William of Quakertown, Lisa Olson, wife of Patrick of Philadelphia, Mark A. Goodman, husband of Carrie of Wernersville and Michelle Asch, wife of Robert of Oklahoma. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, Jillian, Dawson, Cierra, Melissa, Tiffanie, Falyn, William, Jill, Mark Jr., Shannon, Christina and Michael and twelve great grandchildren, Ava, Chris, Abby, Nate, Johnny, Dillion, Madeline, Mia, Kennade, Kinzlie, Koltin, Amelia and one brother, Raymond Furlong, widower of Theresa, of Florida.
Charles was preceded in death by one son, Charles F. Fulong, Jr. and siblings John Furlong, Harry Furlong and Emma Zwerblis.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm with a memorial tribute beginning at 1:00 pm at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560.
