Catharine L. Trout

Catharine “Sis” L. Trout, 99, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on January 19, 1924, she was a daughter to the late Rudolph and Ethel (Bartlett) Niehamer. Married in 1958, she was the wife of the late Elmer H. Trout.

Catharine was a former member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was employed by the Temple Restaurant where she worked as a waitress until her retirement. Previously, Catharine was employed as an LPN and also worked for the former Western Electric of Reading.

Catharine is survived by her grandchildren, Thomas J. Smith, husband of Jennifer, and Cristen L. McTamney and three great- grandchildren, Keagan McTamney, Brogan McTamney, and Avery Smith.

In addition to her parents and husband, Catharine is predeceased by her daughter, Catharine Linda Smith, and two brothers, Calvin Berkey and Rudolph M. Niehamer.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
