Bruce L. Pflueger, Sr, 64, of Blandon, passed away suddenly while on vacation camping with his family.
Bruce was married for forty five years to Deborah G. (O'Donnell ) Pflueger.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late William G. and Jennie R. (Ludwig) Pflueger.
Bruce was formerly employed by Campbell Soup in Evansville for twenty eight years.
Bruce and his wife Deb were the owner and operators of Homers Bar and Grill in Fleetwood.
Bruce was a member of the Dutchman's Hunting Camp in Frenchville, PA.
Bruce was a member of Lodge # 62 F & AM West Reading. He also was a member of numerous other clubs and lodges.
Surviving with his wife Deb are three children, Barry W. Pflueger and wife Jodi (Madenford) of Blandon, Bruce L. Pflueger, Jr. and wife Denise (Bowers) of Fleetwood and Danielle M. Mayer and husband Patrick of Blandon.
There are eight grandchildren, Michael Laity and wife Savannah, Cassidy Pflueger, Alisa Donovan, Nathan Mayer, Sarah Laity, Chloe Pflueger, Marley Mayer, and Darian Pflueger.
There are two great grandchildren, Gavin Laity and Za'Mira Farley.
Also, siblings, Barry Pflueger and wife Linda, Alice Rothermel and husband Gene, Debbie Schafer and husband Paul, Nancy Michael, Bradley Pflueger, and Beth Frankhouser and husband Kenny.
There is a deceased brother, William Pflueger and survived by his wife Yolanda.
Also, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Betty O'Donnell and predeceased by his father-in-law, Bernard O'Donnell.
Bruce is survived by many nieces, nephews, and in laws and his
"Homers Family" and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3rd at 11 am in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple with Rev. Sara Hertzog officiating.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 pm and Thursday from 10 am until time of service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service in Maidencreek Cemetery in Blandon.
