Bonita "Bonnie" Snyder, 88, of Hyde Park, passed away Thursday, May 15th at her home.
She had been married 51 years to Robert C. Snyder, who passed away April 19, 1998. Robert was decorated 1st Lt. from World War II and the Korean War.
Born in Reading, Bonita was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Nunziata (Natoli) Milici.
She was an active member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church.
She had been employed by the former Pomeroy's Department store and subsequently as a packer for Linette Candy.
She enjoyed summer vacations with family and friends at Avalon, Stone Harbor, and Wild Wood; also, travelling including trips to Cancun and cruises to the islands of the Caribbean with her husband Robert.
Bonita loved the family German Shepherd, Candy, and spending time hanging out with friends and family at Muhlenberg Swimming Pool.
She was also a wonderful cook.
Surviving are her children: Paul J. Snyder of Hyde Park and Patty A. Inkpen of Pennsburg, Montgomery Co.
There are two grandchildren: Christopher Inkpen, husband of Angela, of State College and Kevin Inkpen, husband of Nicole of Boston.
Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Nancy Stengle, Frank Jaro, Barbara Bermudez, and Francis Phillips; and great-nieces and nephews: Paul and Ed Phillips, Michael and Jordan Bermudez, Jill Martin, and Craig Stengle.
Bonita was predeceased by siblings: Mary, Phillip, and Frank Milici, Angeline Meoli, and Sarah Jarowsenski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 24th at 10 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605 with Rev. E. Michael Camilli and Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating.
Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Hyde Park.
