Bette L. (Filman) Brown

Bette L. (Filman) Brown, 82, formerly of Mohrsville, passed away on  April 10, 2021 at the Laurel Center in Hamburg.

Born on June 29, 1938, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Helen N. (Dautrich) Filman.  She was the wife of the late Melvin W. Brown with whom she shared 57 years of marriage at his time of passing on May 22, 2014.

Bette was a 1956 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. Bette worked at Billy's Candy along side her parents for many years. She enjoyed scrap booking, cooking  and baking. Bette loved writing and faithfully wrote a journal about her life every year. If you had a birthday, you could always count on a hand written letter or card from Bette, she loved writing letters to all of her friends, family and church members.

She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

Bette is survived by her loving children Glenn A. Brown, husband of Debbie, of Mohrsville and Brenda L. Johnson, wife of Ira, of Frederick, CO; Grandchildren, Seth, Shawn, Holly, Jenny, Michelle and Tara; Seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Filman, husband of Linda, of Laureldale.

Viewing will be held Friday, April 16, 2021 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, Pennsylvania 19560, with a service immediately following.

Burial will take place in the Laureldale Cemetery
