Bertha Staudt (Staudt) Ohnmacht

January 31, 1926 — September 12, 2018

Bertha E. Ohnmacht 92 formerly of Riverside but has resided at the Lutheran Home of Topton since 2002. She was the widow of Norman P. Ohnmacht, who died January 14, 1989. Bertha was the " Fasnacht Lady" of Riverside.

Bertha was born in Centre Township. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mabel (Geschwindt) Staudt.

Surviving are her loving children; Barbara A. Schaich companion of Steve Nogay of Shoemakersville, Shirley A. wife of Fred Moll of Fleetwood, Jean A. wife of Joel Miller of Wernersville, and Beverly A. Chlebowski of Dumont, NJ. Also, a friend, Michael Chlebowski of New Milford, NJ.

Five grandchildren; Heather wife of Ulles Fox, Timothy husband of Heather Moll, Andrew husband of Kasie Moll, Julie Miller, and Stephanie Chlebowski fiancé of Tim Getz. Five great grandchildren; Emma, Wyatt, Cora, Destin, and Paisley.

Mrs. Ohnmacht was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading. She was judge of elections at Riverside. She enjoyed crocheting. She was a life member of the ladies auxiliary of the Sinking Spring and Mt. Pleasant Fire Companies.

Bertha was employed 18 ½ years by the former King's Department Store as a clerk. She, also, had been employed 15 years as a clerk by the Windsor Card Shop, Muhlenberg Township.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ohnmacht will be conducted from the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. Temple on Saturday, September 22nd at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Robin Henry officiating. Interment in Bern Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.
