Bernard W. Osche, 83, of Penn Twp., formerly of Butler, PA, passed away Thursday October 24th of natural causes in his residence.
He was married to Dorothy (Trimbur) Osche. Bernard and Dorothy were married October 24, 1953 and celebrated their sixty year anniversary on Thursday.
Born in Butler City, he was the son of the late Walter Osche and Gertrude (Eyth) Osche.
He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church in Reading.
In Butler, PA he was a member of St. Wendelins Roman Catholic Church.
For thirty years he was employed by the Pullman Standard Manufacturing Plant in Butler, PA. and for ten years he was employed by Penn Dot in Muhlenberg Twp.
He served in the Air Force for three years from 1946 until 1949.
He enjoyed bowling at Bowlarama, golfing, and was a avid hunter and fisherman.
In Butler, PA he was a former Boy Scout Leader.
Additional survivors include his children, Jeffry Osche of Dillsburg, PA, Jacqueline, wife of Timothy Paulson of Jefferson Twp., Donald Osche, widower of Louise Osche of California, Sandra Marburger of Flying Hills, and Richard Osche, husband of Cynthia of Pottstown. He was predeceased by a son, Anthony Osche.
There are five grandchildren, Bradley Kiddle, Amanda Goda, Justin and Shawn Marburger, and Carleen Paulson.
Also, two great grandsons, Tristan Goda and Braden Miller Kiddle.
There are four sisters, Marcella Coyle, Patricia Bachman, Rosie Zarnick, and Ruth Raybuck.
He was predeceased by five siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 29th at 10 AM in St Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Central Ave. & Spring St., Reading, PA 19601 with Rev. John M. Gibbons celebrant. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing on Monday evening from 6 until 7:30 PM in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, PA
